Questions, answered

The things people actually ask about the channel. Something missing? Ask directly — real inbox, real answers.

What is Norbo Explains?

A YouTube channel and blog where Norbo — a full-stack developer, husband and dad from Europe — explains real life with real research: fatherhood, work, productivity, money for his family, and the occasional big curious question, all drawn in crayon.

Who is Norbo?

Norbo is the crayon avatar of a real person: a programmer with about ten years in the industry, a husband, a dad, and a small investor. He stays behind the drawing on purpose — no performing, no personal brand, just the ideas.

Why are the drawings intentionally bad?

Two reasons. The crayon look is a test: if an idea survives being drawn as a wobbly stick figure, it's actually simple. And the person behind Norbo is shy in real life — the drawing does the talking.

How often do new videos come out?

A new video every week on the YouTube channel, with the written version and full sources published here for every video.

Are the facts in the videos actually checked?

Yes — it's the channel's hard rule. Every video is built on named studies and named scientists, with clickable sources listed on every video page. Never "studies show." When the science is debated, the video says it's debated.

What topics does the channel cover?

Lately the questions come from real life: what becoming a father does to you, staying focused and good at your job, investing calmly for a family, staying human around AI. Plus the curious classics the channel started with — ancient humans, famous psychology experiments, the weird things your body and brain do.

Are the videos available in other languages?

Some are — the Blue Zones video has dubbed audio tracks in Spanish, German and Hindi, live on YouTube. More languages will follow if viewers want them.

Where do the blog articles come from?

Each article is the written version of a video — same verified facts, rewritten as a proper article with linked sources — plus occasional posts that don't fit a video.

How can I contact Norbo?

Email hello@norboexplains.com — it lands directly in his inbox. For collaborations, corrections, or just to say the videos helped.

How can I support the channel?

Subscribe on YouTube — it's a small channel, and every subscriber genuinely changes what's possible. Watching to the end and sharing a video with one person helps even more than you'd think.
