Welcome to Norbo Explains — the crayon channel gets a home

Hi. I’m Norbo, and this is the new home of the channel.

If you’ve landed here without seeing a video first: I’m a programmer, a husband, and a dad from Europe, and this channel is me explaining my own life with real research — fatherhood, work, productivity, investing for my family’s future, staying human around AI. And when a random big question grabs me — were ancient humans smarter than us, why do you get goosebumps, what really happened in Universe 25 — that gets a video too. The rule behind every single one: real, named research, with sources you can click. Never “studies show.”

Why a website?

Three reasons.

First, the sources. YouTube descriptions are where links go to be ignored. Here, every video has its own page with the full story, the chapters, and every study behind it — actual links to the actual papers. If a video made you say “wait, is that true?”, this is where you check.

Second, the stuff that doesn’t fit in a video. Some rabbit holes are too deep for eight minutes. That’s what the blog is for — deeper dives, honest behind-the-scenes, and what I’m learning while building this thing one video at a time.

Third — honestly — so this little channel has a piece of the internet that belongs to it. Big plans live here: more videos every week, and someday an ebook and audiobook of the best questions.

Where to start

If you’re new, start with the video people share the most: why your skin does something nobody could explain for 150 years. Or the one that ruins a famous story everyone tells wrong: Universe 25.

And if any of it makes you curious — subscribe on YouTube. There’s a new big question every week, and a small channel feels every single subscriber.

Big questions. Simply explained. In crayon.
